Joshua P. Brothers Obituary, Death: It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joshua P. Brothers, 36, who died on April 25, 2025, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence, Rhode Island. A devoted husband, father, son, and friend, Josh’s vibrant spirit and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born on March 29, 1989, in Attleboro, Massachusetts, Josh was the beloved son of Tammy J. (Paradiso) Brothers and Edward Brothers. He was the cherished maternal grandson of Albert Ferreira and the late Carole A. (George) Ferreira, and the paternal grandson of Edward Ondrasek and Mary Pafume. Josh shared a close bond with his siblings: Jessica Kemp (husband Shawn), Jeanne Paradiso (spouse Nelson Oliveira), and Jonathan Brothers (wife Grace).
Joshua’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was the loving husband of Kayla M. (Couture) Brothers and the adored father of their daughter, Baylee Carole Brothers. Josh’s life revolved around his family. He and Baylee shared countless special moments—kitchen dance parties, drawing sessions, snuggles, and cheering on their favorite team, the Boston Celtics. Josh fondly called Baylee “Mamma” or “Muffy,” and was her biggest fan, especially during dance competitions and recitals.
A graduate of Johnston High School, Josh went on to become a Level 2 Certified Pharmacy Technician. He was currently working with the Neighborhood Health Pharmacy Department and had previously worked at several local CVS Pharmacy locations. His work ethic and dedication to helping others made him a respected colleague and valued employee.
Josh was a passionate sports enthusiast. A true fan, he rooted for the Boston Celtics, Dallas Cowboys, and Boston Bruins. His love of sports was only matched by his love of music, travel, and making people laugh with his legendary “Dad jokes.” He and Kayla cherished their travels together, especially their many cruises. Aruba was their favorite destination, and Josh loved collecting fridge magnets from every place they visited—often proudly displaying them on his mother’s refrigerator.
Josh valued close friendships and family gatherings. He found joy in game nights, lively conversations, and quiet moments with those he loved. His lighthearted nature, infectious humor, and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Josh’s life at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, on Thursday, May 1, at 10:00 AM. Calling hours will be held at the same location on Wednesday, April 30, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
Joshua P. Brothers lived a life full of love, laughter, and deep connection. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, especially his wife Kayla and daughter Baylee. Though his time with us was far too short, the joy he brought to others will endure for years to come. GOFUNDME LINK
